Plain terms for a reference site. Read the sites, take the ideas, do not republish the pages wholesale, and do not treat any of it as professional advice.
Using this site
You may read everything here, print it, quote it with a credit and a link, and use any design decision described on it in your own work. That is the point of the site. What you may not do is copy a gallery page or a set of write ups and republish them, scrape the site to train or populate another product, or present our words as yours.
The screenshots
Each screenshot shows the homepage of a named company and is published as commentary and criticism, credited and linked to the live site. The design, photography and trademarks in it belong to that company, not to us, and nothing here implies that the company endorses, sponsors or is connected to Websitely in any way. Company names and logos appear for identification only.
If you own a site shown here and want it removed, tell us and it comes down. See the contact page.
Our own words
The selections, the write ups and the measurements are ours. The code and design of this site are ours. Taking either in bulk is not permitted.
Advertising and affiliate links
This site carries third party advertising, and some links to website builders, hosts and related services earn us a commission. Those relationships never affect which sites are included or what the write ups say, and advertising is always visually separate from editorial. We do not vet the advertisers whose adverts appear through a network, and a purchase you make from one is a matter between you and them.

Everything here is editorial opinion about design. It is not legal, financial, marketing or technical advice, and it is not a recommendation of any company, agency or product named. Copying a decision from a site on this page will not necessarily work on yours, and nobody here is accountable for a commercial outcome.
Measurements are taken from the live pages and checked by eye, and sites change constantly. A typeface, colour or layout described here may already have been replaced. We fix mistakes we are told about but we do not promise that everything is current or correct.

We link to the sites we write about and to other places worth reading. We do not control them and we are not responsible for what they contain or do.

The site is offered as it is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, and we may change, move or remove any page at any time.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising out of using this site or relying on anything written on it, including lost profit, lost work, or the cost of a website you commissioned after reading it.
